Heart disease causes and the means of the prevention of the risk through healthy ways of living

Situated in the middle of the thoracic cage in between the lungs heart is a most vital organ in the cardiovascular system. The heart is slightly slanted to the left side of the body leaving the inner structure of the body asymmetrical. Heart wall is built out of the cardiac muscle a kind of smooth skeletal muscles. The heart is consisting of four compartments consisting two atriums and two ventricles. The function of the heart is to distribute oxygenated blood and the nutrients to the body cells while the “unclean” blood saturated with carbon dioxide is distributed to the lungs for the purification. The carbon dioxide is exhaled through the lungs. The purified blood dissolved with the oxygen is redirected to the left atrium of the heart where the contraction of the left ventricular muscles moves the blood to the rest of the part of the body except for the lungs. Due to its importance the heart should be kept healthy and be protected from each and every kind of heart diseases.

Alteration of the number of the heart beats, pains near the chest area, hypertension or the high blood pressure could be some of the heart disease signs. Therefore the heart should be well cared to maintain a healthy life free of cardiac diseases. Regular exercise program with a healthy diet containing less amount of cholesterol will keep you away from heart disease that can be fatal.

Heart disease signs should not be ignored and the person should immediately consult a doctor in the cases of high or low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat or a pain associated with the chest area.

Over 60 million of the USA population has some sort of a heart disease. They are categorized under the hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, overweight, smoking, lack of physical exercises, gender, hereditary, sex hormones, birth control medicine, alcohol. Stress can cause cardiovascular diseases by increasing the blood pressure. Stress is one of the major causes to the hypertension. Obesity, overweight, smoking is some of the leading factors causing the heart failure. If you are consuming alcohols it should be limited to a calorie intake of 100-200. Excess amount of calorie can be deposited as fat in the body tissues and it would lead to the increment of the cholesterol level in the blood.
